News / U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers Arrest Alleged Sexual Offender

San Francisco — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 44-year-old man wanted by the San Jose Police Department for alleged sexual assault of a minor.


Adnan Raymond Romiah was arrested at San Francisco International Airport after he arrived on a flight from Japan on Sunday. Romiah was wanted by the SJPD for allegedly engaging in lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 with force.


CBP officers confirmed Romiah’s identity and the warrant status, and then turned the fugitive over to San Francisco International Airport police to complete the arrest process.


“CBP works closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to ensure that fugitives are intercepted and processed at the border,” said San Francisco Director of Field Operations Richard Vigna. Vigna added, “This arrest demonstrates the diligent work that CBP officers continue to display at ports of entry to keep the public safe.”
