FAQ / Define Apostille

Apostille is an international form of simplified authentication of documents from one country for another. Apostille validates the capacity and the authority of an official who signed the document, or the authenticity of the seal which is placed on the said document. Apostille came to existence as the result of Hague Convention of October 5, 1961. To define apostille you need to look at each country which accepts and issues apostille, as it may be presented in different forms. However, it appearance is always kept identical to the internationally adopted standards.
