NEWS / Birth certificate of teenage darts prodigy revealed dispelling rumors he had lied about his age

Luke Littler's meteoric rise in the World Darts Championship was as undeniable as the doubters who questioned his age. But just before facing off in the final, a birth certificate surfaced, definitively silencing the whispers and setting the stage for a future that promises even more magic from the teenage phenomenon.

The UKn-born youngster had captivated audiences, throwing himself into the final against seasoned player Luke Humphries. Though victory ultimately eluded him, Littler's £200,000 second-place finish cemented his superstar status. Yet, rumors about his age had dogged him throughout the tournament, casting a shadow on his remarkable achievements.

On the brink of the grand finale, TalkTV shared Littler's official birth certificate on X (formerly known as Twitter), revealing he was born on January 21, 2007, in North Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust Warrington in the Town of Warrington in northwestern England. This document put to rest the persistent claims that he was older than his 16 years.

Fans, however, had unearthed a tweet from 2014 by car repair service Autobutler, welcoming "experienced mechanic" Luke Littler to their team. This sparked a flurry of online speculation, with some jokers claiming the darts prodigy was actually much older than he appeared.

Leanne Seddon, Luke's mum's cousin, spoke out against the hurtful whispers. "Other parents started a rumor years ago when he was winning everything," she revealed. "It was pure jealousy and nastiness by adults attacking a young teenager on social media." She further added that despite providing proof of age back then, the whispers persisted. "Some just like to say outlandish stuff on social media for attention, a laugh, or to cause trouble," she remarked.

But with the birth certificate now public, the focus returns to Littler's undeniable talent and future prospects. Despite the loss, he remained upbeat, telling Sky Sports, "I'm happy. I'm in the top-32 and runner-up in my debut. It's unbelievable." His eyes, however, are firmly fixed on the future. "Win a game and see what happens next year," he stated, his unwavering ambition evident.

Marketing experts agree, predicting a golden future for the teenage sensation. They estimate he could potentially earn up to £40 million through lucrative deals and brand partnerships. Even Luke Humphries, the victor himself, acknowledged Littler's potential, saying, "He'll be back and he'll lift the trophy."
