NEWS / MO resident livid after controversial baby product business uses her address in articles of incorporation to get business licenseA Missouri woman is angry after a controversial company that focuses on baby products used her address to obtain a business license. The woman has no association with the business whatsoever. The company is subject to a federal recall and has been accused of manufacturing a bassinet that poses the risk of suffocation, strangulation, and falls to babies. “I don’t want to be associated with them in any way, shape or form,” Homeowner Pamela Wardlow was quoted by Fox 4 as saying, “It’s frustrating because in my mind it’s somebody using my personal address for something that’s probably not legit.” Over the last 2 years, Wardlow received multiple pieces of mail addressed to Rev Grace Import. This week, the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) concluded that the company’s Five-In-One Rocker Bassinet posed a hazard to babies including suffocation, strangulation, and falls. The CPSC concluded that the company’s products fail to meet federal infant sleep product rules, including failure to provide adequate labeling and instructions, as well as tracking labels to show date of production. Rev Grace Import products were sold through online shopping websites, including Walmart. Online records show that Rev Grace Import was formed in June 2021. Songzhou Chen was listed as the company’s sole incorporator and registered agent. The Articles of Incorporation list Wardlow’s address—209 N Jeffreys St, Pleasant Hill, MO 64080—as the registered agent’s address. “There’s no one by that name that’s ever lived here,” Wardlow stated, “and it’s always been a home residence.” The Missouri Secretary of State’s office administratively dissolved the company in October 2022 for failure to file a registration report.
