Social Security Benefits Verification letter, also known as Personal earnings and benefit estimate statement is an official government document. The statement is often required for visa and immigration purposes. Such requests require special handling and further apostille certification. Social Security letters must contain facsimile signature of the acting SSA Commissioner or if obtained from local SSA Office name, title and signature of the SSA Office Manager.
