FAQ / Can I limit my notarial services to customers? To people I know personally? To business associates?


As public officials, Notaries must serve anyone who makes a lawful or reasonable request for notarization. Some states make certain provisions to limit notarial services to transactions related to the place of employment, however these provisions do not allow the Notary to refuse services based on the status of the signer.
