NEWS / Changes to foreign language documents apositlle

Earlier this year a number of states has joined the practice followed by the US Department of State when it comes to getting documents in foreign language apostille. The requirement is that any document in foreign language must be accompanied by certified and notarized translation. Of course, each state sets their own guidelines, so it best to check beforehand if you will need the translation to be bound to the actual document. The above does not imply that the practice is common, many states still allow documents in foreign language to be apostille or authenticated, you may be the lucky one. However, there are also instance that foreign language documents will not be accepted at all, translated or not.
