Cross Match Technologies, Inc., a global provider of biometric identity solutions, will display the newest addition to its award-winning line of document readers, the D SCAN Authenticator CF, during the Biometrics 2007 Exhibition in Westminster, London beginning October 18, 2007.

The Authenticator CF, a compact, high-resolution document reader, was designed with a large optical scanning area enabling high-speed data capture from RFID memory chips used in e-passports and ID cards. Noted for being one of the fastest document readers in the market, the Authenticator CF automatically completes a full-page scan in just two seconds making it ideal for rapid document review and validation in high-volume environments such as seaports and airports. It easily connects to a PC using a standard USB interface making it an ideal reader to integrate into civil kiosk applications for car rental or hotel booking stations.

“We are excited about the launch of our newest state-of-the-art document reader, the Authenticator CF, at the Biometrics 2007 Exhibition in London this week. The Authenticator CF is a durable and lightweight system designed with our customers’ required specifications in mind,” states Gerhart Ernst, Managing Director of Cross Match Technologies, GmbH. “We look forward to helping our global customers improve their security measures while also adding convenience, speed and efficiency to the document authentication process.”

The Authenticator CF complies with both ICAO and ISO standards and achieved high marks during international interoperability tests throughout the U.S. and Europe. Cross Match’s earlier generation of document readers are currently being used at borders for immigration and visitor tracking, in passport offices, and in civil applications such as duty-free shops to help verify the identities of ticketed passengers purchasing tax-free goods. Locations where these readers can be found include Thailand’s New Bangkok International Airport, Germany’s Frankfurt Airport, Croatian airports and land borders, the Bavarian Border Police, and in Switzerland’s and Liechtenstein’s passport offices.

Along with the Authenticator CF, Cross Match will also be displaying its extensive line of industry leading multiple biometric product offerings at the Biometrics 2007 Exhibition including fingerprint scanners, livescan ten-print systems, a new iris capture device, facial recognition system, and several identity management solutions.
