The death certificate of former “Price of Right” host Bob Barker lists “Alzheimer’s Disease” as the cause of his death. The famed TV host passed away at his home in Los Angeles, California, on August 26 at the age of 99.

The death certificate, which was obtained by NBC News, also lists hypertension, hypothyroidism, and hyperlipidemia, as contributing factors.

Barker’s publicist Roger Neal was quoted by NBC News as saying that per Barker’s wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service and that the celebrity will be buried next to his wife Dorothy Jo Gideon, who passed away in 1981, at Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles.

At the same time, Barker’s longtime companion Nancy Burnet stated that up until 2 months ago, Barker was routinely having conversations and participating in bedside exercises.

Alzheimer’s Disease is the most common form of dementia. It is and incurable condition that causes the brain to shrink, which in turn can lead to death.

Barker hosted The Price is Right, a CBS game show in which participants must guess the prices of merchandise to win, between its inaugural run in 1972 and Barker’s retirement in 2007, when he was succeeded as host by comedian Drew Carey. Barker also hosted the game show Truth or Consequences between 1956 and 1975.
